18 Maskerade In this story Agnes Nitt is a country girl who aspires to something different and altogether more exciting than the rustic life, so she runs off to the city of Ankh Morpork to join the opera and changes her name to Perditia X. Nanny Ogg, one of the witches from the same place Agnes is from, has written a cook book with some interesting side notes; the book does very well but Nanny has not received any of the royalties… at the same time Nanny Ogg and Granny Weatherwax are a witch down in their coven of three, owing to Magrat getting married, and they are of the opinion that Agnes Nitt fits the bill perfectly, so the two go off to Ankh Morpork to get Agnes and sort out the book payments, and find themselves embroiled in a Phantom of the Opera style plot. | | | |
