4 Mort Mort is a young country lad who’s reached the time when lads his age become apprenticed, only no one seems to want him when his father takes him to town – that is until Death offers to train him in the art of soul reaping. Mort takes Death up on the offer and gets to know some amazing truths about life and Death; he also makes a huge mess of things when Death leaves him in charge - allowing his heart to rule over common sense, he puts the whole of the Discworld and causality at risk.
