10 Moving Pictures The story opens with the last Keeper of the Door on his island looking out to sea; Death arrives to free him from the shackles of existence and leaves a gap in reality, there is no longer anyone to remember the idea of Holy Wood. Of course, with the Discworld being a place of magic and bizarre occurrences, the idea starts seeping into reality – the alchemists of Ankh-Morpork invent a way to make moving pictures; CMOT Dibbler gets the idea of being a big shot movie producer and Victor Tugelbend and Ginger Withal become struck with stardom, which may sound very nice – but this is the Discworld… Snippets from 'Moving Pictures'
