26 Thief of Time Lobsang Ludd started life as a Thieves’ Guild foundling and, combining his talents learnt there and his uncanny speed, grows into one of the best thieves ever known. A Time Monk, from the Monks of History temple in the Ramtops, talent spots Lobsang while on a field trip in Ankh-Morpork and the super-thief becomes apprenticed to the legendary, yet humble temple Sweeper, Lu-Tze.
As Lobsang is being trained in the ways of slicing time, complexity resonators and Zen-like mind control, a young man back in Ankh-Morpork called Jeremy de Clock is discovering another aspect of time by creating a clock so accurate, ‘a clock of perfect accuracy’, that it may stop time all together. Though Jeremy is excommunicated by his Guild, a mysterious lady named Lady LeJean seeks out the eccentric’s talent and commissions the construction of the time-stopping clock.
More familiar characters such as Susan Death and Nanny Ogg are also caught up in the plot that’s sees Death seeking out fellow horsemen to ride out and play their part in the Discworld timeline.
