That's cool, it's a really simple drawing using perspective - both in the drawing and in the lines of the pavement - that tricks the eyes. I like it.

P.S. They use similar ideas to paint ads on the grass around grand prix racing tracks to fool the eyes into thinking they are upright and facing the camera.

I love the Batman & Robin painting, and the diving board one.

I first came across this art form a few years back and have been keeping an eye on the competitions over the years.
Here are a few more links for those wishing to look into the artists, history and competitions of the genre.
Kurt Wenner who gives J. Beever a run for the money in competitions.
Italy where it started being taken note of, and a semi-annual competition is run
Stader & Müller these two guys travel around and interestingly show a bit more of the 'wrong' perspective so you can see the dynamics.
Australia too has an annual competition.
There are others but those are the ones that come to mind immediately.

Cricket and rugby are also using static position camera perspectives to show sponsorship logos painted onto the ground.

I often see pics like these on the net, pity I never see them really being done...

I've seen some very good ones being drawn on the Strand in London.
